"Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like me, undergo the fatigue of supporting it." Thomas Paine
I guess my excitement is a typical newbie's feelings but I am excited to be voting on Tuesday for the first time!!!
So this is a reminder (I know most of you don't need this but...) to be excited along with me and get out and VOTE!!!! And if you can't vote yet, encourage at least one person you know who can to vote! This election is VERY CLOSE to giving the majority (see: article ) to the Democrats! Do you know what that would mean? It scares me so much just thinking about it!! Because Democrats support homosexual marriage, a ban against sexual discrimination, abortion, removing the troops from Iraq, and many other issues Christians cannot support - we must seek to elect the better choice no matter how unappealing Republicans have become. We can still keep and make our country a better place and we are responsible for it! This election is too close to stay at home!
"To make democracy work, we must be a notion of participants, not simply observers. One who does not vote has no right to complain." - Louis L'Amour
Has my young zeal inspired you? I hope so! Please pass this on to everyone you know to encourage others to get out and vote!!!
